This also comes with great responsibility as you are solely responsible for not losing your private keys (your access to your wallet). This requires you to take your own precautions to protect your assets and funds.
Private keys/seed phrase
Your private keys or seed phrase is a 12-word phrase which allows you to control your crypto assets with your non-custodial wallet, kind of like a password or your digital signature. Losing your private keys/seed phrase could be devastating, resulting in the inability to recover access to your wallet and assets.

How to fund your wallet
In order to transact across Web3 you will need to use an exchange to fund your wallet. Exchanges are digital marketplaces where you can buy and trade cryptocurrencies with your fiat currency, such as the US dollar. There are many exchanges to choose from! Some of the most popular and user-friendly exchanges are Coinbase and Binance. Depending on where you live, some exchanges may not be available to you.
3. Setting up a MetaMask Wallet:
1. Go to https://metamask.io/download/
2. Click "Install MetaMask for (browser)"
3. Click "Add to (browser)"
4. After installing, a new tab should automatically open. If it doesn't go to your Extensions list and click MetaMask
5. Click "Create a Wallet"
6. Click "I Agree"
7. Set a password, check the box to agree to Terms of Use, and click "create"
8. Click "Next", then "click here to reveal secret words"
9. Make a hard copy backup of the phrase and click "next"
10. Select the recovery words in the correct orders as previously shown and click "confirm"
